The story of LoCa traces back to 1992, when Thorkild Lundsgaard embarked on a mission inspired by paternal love. Faced with the challenge of crafting a coat rack that seamlessly combined functionality with elegance for his two daughters, Thorkild set out to create something truly exceptional. And thus, KNAX coat rack was born.
Crafted from carefully selected woods such as oak, walnut, teak, and birch, each KNAX coat rack is a testament to the enduring beauty of natural materials. Every piece of wood is meticulously inspected to ensure the highest quality, and our skilled artisans devote themselves to the art of precision craftsmanship.
But KNAX is more than just a coat rack – it's a symbol of Scandinavian design excellence that has earned its place in homes and architectural projects around the world. Harrit & Sørensen has received many awards over the years, from top design prizes to recognition in the industry for their dedication to excellence. These honors show how committed they are to pushing the limits of design and craftsmanship.

Note : Harrit & Sørensen came up with the name "KNAX" from the sound the hook makes when it snaps back into place.
Formland Design Award 1995
In 1995 Thorkild introduced the KNAX coat rack to the public at a trade fair in Herning, Denmark. He was very happy to go home as the Formland Award winner. This award is presented to the most innovative design of the year. This was further motivation for Thorkild to carry on with his entrepreunarial dream.
